

These are some photo etchings along the same line as the paintings I posted yesterday. The photo etching process has been one of my favorite processes to do because of its unpredictability. It involves laying a film of light sensative film onto a copper plate and then exposing your image in a similar way to that of a contact sheet in conventional photography. You then develop the image and print.

very cool James! i wanna do this, too! I tried some "digital heat transfers" (so sophisticated) the other day and they turned out pretty cool. I might try some on canvas for a different effect. they were a little too "clean' for my taste.
